The retreat's goals are to strengthen our faith and its application in our daily life, to renew ourselves spiritually and to build strong lasting friendships. The retreats are gender specific to provide a space of community and vulnerability. Lay Catholic men and women present the ACTS Retreat with support provided by a spiritual director and clergy. Each Alpha course requires people to serve on the Kitchen Crew (cooking, serving, kitchen cleanup), Environment Team (creating an attractive and welcoming atmosphere for each Alpha session), Greeters (welcoming guests for the first few weeks of each Alpha course), a tech person (to set up, run, and take down A/V equipment), Table Hosts (to facilitate table discussions), and Intercessors (to pray for Alpha participants during each course). If you’ve gone through Alpha, serving on the team is a great way to pay it forward! To learn more about Alpha, contact Pam Truxillo.
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is designed for adults who wish to become full members of the Catholic Church. OCIA is a process of spiritual enrichment and growth preparing un-baptized adults for Baptism and for other sacraments. It is also for candidates who have been baptized (Catholic and non Catholic) but have not received other sacraments or wish to learn more about their Catholic faith. The process begins in September and continues through Holy Week. Click the following link for the SCS OCIA page: https://sites.google.com/site/kurtgarcia/home. BELOVED is a mother’s ministry that provides a place for moms to form a community of faith within our school and parish. Whether you are a working mom or a mom staying at home with your children, our goals are to grow together in friendship, community, and prayer. We meet twice a month from August to May and have a daytime group as well as an evening group. Our meetings generally involve a book or bible study, however we also sometimes attend daily mass and adoration together. For more information contact Michelle Macicek.

Are you interested in finding someone to walk with you on your faith journey and share your love of Jesus? If so, you might be looking for a "Faith Companion." A faith companion is a person who has been trained to share spiritual conversations with another. At St. Catherine of Siena, we are blessed to have several people who have completed a ministry training course and are certified by the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center to practice this lay ministry.
Faith companioning is not spiritual direction which fosters a deepening awareness and discernment of God's presence in the life of the directed person. Instead, it is two people walking with each other and witnessing their faith through listening, shared prayer, and faith sharing. It is designed for people who would like to walk in faith in God with another.
If you are interested in finding a faith companion or would like to find out more about this ministry, please contact Lynne Lightfoot.

Do you want to learn how to pray or how to improve your prayer life? Lord, Teach Me to Pray is a three-part Ignatian prayer series developed to meet the desire for on-going spiritual growth, for an appropriate response to the call to holiness, and for a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord. In facilitated faith-sharing prayer communities, the Lord, himself, teaches us to pray. This program is facilitated in a group setting, meets once a week, and requires daily prayer on assigned scriptures. There are three Parts:
Part 1 – Christian Virtues (12 weeks)
Part 2 – My 19th Annotation (30 weeks)
Part 3 - Discernment & Gifts of the Spirit (14 weeks).

Inspired by the prayers and readings from the Magnificat monthly publication for the coming Sunday, we reflect and discuss their impact and direction in our lives. The Men of St. Joseph meet every Wednesday morning from 6:30 - 7:30 am in the Parish Office Conference Room. Coffee is served! For more information, contact Don Engler or Les Nettleton.
